Directional Wells
Blackhawk has the only pumps that can handle this type of application. Our pumps will operate from vertical to horizontal.
Because we use a flexible drive rod inside a small diameter (1.5 inch) HDPE discharge pipe, the Blackhawk down hole can be inserted in these types of wells. For example, we are in a 375-foot well that is 6 inches in diameter and is at about a 20 degree angle from horizontal. Even if you could get an electric pump in the well, you would have to push it (with motor cable and a level sensing device) through 375 feet of pipe that isn’t straight. Air lift pumps will not work at more than 15 degrees off vertical. It makes the float hang up.
